Colouring extracts are derived from berries, fruits, spices, vegetables and edible plants that naturally contain colour. Colouring extracts can be labelled as Clean Label products due to their processing.
Customers should note that as of 29th November 2013, the new European Commission Directive 1333/2008 came into force, which re-defines whether a product may be declared as a colouring extract or as a natural colouring agent (with an E number).
